R. Scott Hunter
Vice-President
Scott has been involved in Hunter Security since his childhood from the beginning, watching the family business grow. During that time, spending his summers as a technician helper and learning that side of the business. After graduating from Fairhope High School, he attended college at the University of Montevallo. In 1997 he returned to the family business. Today he serves as Vice President and over sees the day-to-day operations. He still holds the belief and foundation set for Hunter Security over 40 years ago; attention to quality and detail, as that is what sets us apart and remembering always our slogan, “Your Security is Our Business”.
Terry Gartman
General Manager
Terry has been a long-time employee of Hunter Security. He started as an installer in the 80’s and moved to the Service Department in the 90’s. In the early 2000s he began to manage the Central Station Monitoring department and remote system programming. Since that time, he has combined that with general management.
He holds a strong belief that customer satisfaction is paramount to a company’s success and tries to instill this into all of our employees. He attends yearly training and industry events to help keep us informed and at the forefront of new technologies, trends, and advancements.
Don Purvis
Education Institution Manager
Don has over 20 years of experience in sales, installation, and repair. Don has worked exclusively with Baldwin County Public Schools and area Private Schools for 13 years. He assists schools with their safety concerns and security issues by utilizing Intercom systems, burg/panic alarms, access control and cameras.
Leon Love
Leon is in management & sales of commercial fire systems with over 36 years of experience in the security alarm industry. He specializes in fire systems, access control, camera systems, and intercom Systems. Leon works for Hunter Security where he oversees commercial fire systems.
Leon is a former president of the Alabama Alarm Association and currently serves on the Alabama Alarm Association board of directors. He currently resides in Fort Morgan, Alabama with his wife of 34 years, Kim, and their Pomeranian Chip.
Mike Freyaldenhoven
Mike is the Fire Inspection Supervisor at Hunter Security and specializes in commercial fire alarm inspection, diagnosis, and repair. He joined Hunter in 2020 as a technician before being asked to head the department later that year. Mike leads a team of 4 fire alarm inspectors and works collaboratively with 10 total fire installation, sales, service, and programming professionals totaling more than 125 years of combined experience in the industry. Mike enjoys life with his wife, Billie, while living in Mobile with his three sons and a couple of rescued Heinz-57 mutts named Jack and Sanibel. He proudly serves the greater gulf coast of Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
Matt Autry
Matt joins Hunter Security as Security System and Camera System Integrator, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the security industry. Matt is here for all your commercial and residential security needs. All of our sales people are AESBL Certified and maintain these credentials to the current date.
